Jeff Cozart

Jeff Cozart is the chief executive officer of Juniper Unmanned, whose mission is the effective, safe, and compliant use of commercial unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Jeff has worked closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to conduct legal and responsible UAS operations for both government and commercial organizations. He is a member of the Aviation and Aerospace Science faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he teaches undergraduate courses in unmanned aircraft. In addition, Jeff teaches graduate level courses in UAS at the University of Colorado Denver campus. Jeff is also a board member of UAS Colorado and a founder of the Rocky Mountain UAS Professionals Meetup group. A Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) graduate from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Jeff is dedicated to ethical business and responsible growth of the UAS industry in Colorado.

Chris Wheeler

As Juniper Unmanned’s CFO, Chris oversees our financial activities and establishes the path to achieve strategic goals. Chris previously was the CFO at Hosting.com where he provided financial leadership that helped grow the company revenues from $25 Million to over $100 Million. He has broad experience partnering with private equity firms and experience managing mergers and acquisitions. Chris is a graduate from the United States Air Force Academy and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.

Brian Soliday

Brian Soliday has 30 years of extensive experience working in sales, marketing and channel development within the GIS and remote sensing industries. He currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer for Juniper Unmanned. His career includes CRO, VP and director level positions with leading geospatial organizations such as Autodesk, Trimble, Space Imaging, and Intermap, Brian holds both masters and bachelor’s degrees in Geography (GIS & Remote Sensing) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha). Brian served on the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Region of ASPRS for 8 years (’99-2007), including serving as President in 2004. He also currently serves as Director, Industry Interface for UAS Colorado. In 2018 he was named to the Board of Directors of American Heroes in Action, a non-profit organization that provides therapeutic outdoor adventures for combat wounded veterans and injured 1st responders.

Eric Torres

As Chief Operating Officer, Eric uses his varied experience in information technology to provide remote sensing data acquisition, data processing, and project management services to Juniper’s clients. In 2018, Eric joined Juniper Unmanned as VP of Solution Engineering after working as an independent consultant assisting oil & gas firms on information management and cloud data management projects. Previously, he held positions as a Programmer, Solution Architect, and Business Analyst at ConocoPhillips where he led projects developing real-time “big data” solutions using downhole sensors. Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Arkansas as well as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.

Dave White

Dave White is the chief technology officer of Juniper Unmanned. In this role, Dave leads Juniper’s development of solutions. His extensive organizational skills, business acumen and technical background provide a solid foundation in helping clients implement, operate and manage commercial UAS programs. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where he serves as research faculty for the UAS Solutions Team.

Tim Roorda

Chief Practice Officer

Tim Roorda is responsible for flight standards and leading such that all operations are conducted safely, effectively, and in compliance with the regulations. Tim is a former U.S. Navy F/A-18 Hornet fighter pilot with more than 2,000 flight hours. After retiring from the Navy in 2009, he served a four year appointment with the US State Department as an expeditionary diplomat with the Conflict and Stabilization Operations Bureau. This gives him strong working knowledge of operating in international and cross-cultural settings.
